Trinity and Providence Newsletter
If you have not received a newsletter yet, you may pick one up at the back of the Narthex on the table. The newsletter was also sent out on last week “Friday’s News Blast”. If you are not on our email list, please contact the church office and we will put you on, so you can get all the latest announcements.
Trinity Giving Envelopes
If you haven’t picked up your giving envelopes yet, you may pick them up in the church office from Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Hand Drumming…
all you need is a heartbeat to join. On Monday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Next drumming practice is Monday, December 2nd. Drums and Friendship provided.

Uke Troupe – Ukulele Practise
The next practice we will be having at Trinity will be on Monday, December 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Happy practicing until then!
Knitting & Crocheting Group
Our Trinity Knitting & Crocheting Group We will be meeting in the Fellowship Room at Trinity United Church to enjoy some pleasant socializing, a cup of tea and of course a little knitting or crocheting. Our next meeting will be taking place on Tuesday, December 10th at 2:00 p.m. Please contact Gail Lewis if you have any questions. All welcome to attend!
An Old-Fashioned Afternoon of Songs, Stories & Sillies!
Taking place on Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church in Bobcaygeon. We are inviting you to wear red and green or your favourite ugly Christmas sweater/outfit to our Capers afternoon! Hot chocolate and cookies to follow. Donations in support of Trinity United Church's work in our community.

Our "CHAT" group meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be on December 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room and the topic will be “What is your place in God’s created world?". Come and join us for the festivities!
White Gift Sunday Dec. 15th
Churches continue to play a vital role not only in making someone’s Christmas with simple gifts, but also in declaring that unseen needs are not forgotten. The significance of the White Gift in the church is the visibility of the offering and the ability of people of all ages to contribute. Our gifts from White Gift Sunday will be directed to Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank. Cash or cheque donations made out to Trinity United Church and clearly marked “White Gift” are welcome as well as non-perishable food items such as canned stews, canned tuna, canned meat, canned fruit or jars, pasta sauce in jars, rice, peanut butter, juice packs or cans, cereal and kraft dinner. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you are going away for the winter and are the chair of your committee, please leave your committee report for Trinity and Providence Annual Report with Sue in the office.
Prayer Request and Pastoral Care
If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle which meet every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for prayer and our Pastoral Care Team.
Reconciliation and the Potlatch
Wednesday, December 4th at Greenwood United Church, 747 Donwood Drive, Peterborough. Reconciliation and the Potlatch, Revitalization of Heiltsuk Language and Culture In search of a place in the circle of Creator’s Abundance. Rodney Smith-Merkley and Bob Root will be telling stories about a potlatch in Bella Bella, British Columbia, held in June. Storytelling begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by a potluck supper. The invitation is for all!

Knox Choir & Friends present “You’re the Reason He Came”
This is the Saviour’s birth in Song happening on Sunday, Dec.15th at 7:00 p.m. (snowstorm cancellation date is Monday, Dec. 16th at 7 p.m.) Taking place at Knox Presbyterian Church, 6 Joseph St. in Bobcaygeon opposite Home Hardware. Freewill offering and refreshments.
Become a Kettle Bell Volunteer (The Salvation Army)
An hour or two of your time can help us meet our Kettle Goal of $60,000. Volunteer at one of our Kettle locations in Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls or Coboconk. Contact Kim @ 416-452-0566 or Cynthia at 705-934-4431. Students can achieve community hours. All Christmas Kettle funds are designated to assist families in crisis in the area where the donation was received. So, donations received in Bobcaygeon are earmarked to assist Bobcaygeon families and the immediate surrounding area. See bulletin board in hall for more information.
Bobcaygeon Diners Club – Come have lunch with us!
At Trinity United Church on the second Thursday of each month and the next one will be on Thursday, December 12th. The price is only $12.00 but you must register in advance by calling at (705)324-7323 ext. 654 or visit ccckl.ca to reserve your seat by Friday noon the week before. Put on by Community Care, City of Kawartha Lakes.
Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank
Our family numbers are still increasing with more children. The following food items would be welcome: Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!
‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program
in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.
