News from Trinity's Reopening Committee

We sincerely thank the members of our congregation for following the protocols that have been put in place so that we can successfully have Sunday Church Services again. Worshiping together is wonderful! We also thank the many volunteers who have helped with screening, recording contact information, ushering and running the technology equipment. The sense of teamwork is so appreciated!

With cooler and more inclement weather approaching, we will modify our entry procedures. When necessary, we will ask people to enter by Trinity Hall where you will be met by the screeners, then proceed to the narthex. Hopefully, this change eliminates anyone having to wait outside in the cold. Families, who have someone with mobility issues, will continue to be welcomed at the front door.

Stay tuned as the Reopening Committee reviews recent documents from the Government of Ontario and the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit.

News from the Knitting Group

The Knitting Group has returned to Trinity! New members are welcome as projects are created for shut-ins and various people in need. The Knitting Group will meet every second Tuesday and the dates will be posted under “Special Activities This Week at Trinity”. Covid Protocols must be followed (signing the contact sheet upon entry, hand sanitizing, wearing masks and maintaining proper social distance). For further information about the Knitting Group, contact Gail Lewis at 705-738-1279. Next meeting November 16th @ 2 p.m.

A Request from our UCW – Meat Pie Ladies!

Would anyone have a fairly large (5 cubic foot) freezer that they no longer need, perhaps in somebody's basement or garage? The UCW ladies are looking to replace one of our freezer's that recently stopped working, that stores the chicken and beef pies. Please contact Olive Macoomb at 705-738-9984.

Pies will be made available for sale to the congregation after worship service on Sunday, November 28th, 2021.

Thanks, Olive and the UCW.

Affirming Ministry Education - Affirming Voting Postponed

We will wait until the Covid restrictions have been lifted and can experience an in-person Sunday service with the vote. This will take place in the near future and hopefully will be well attended.

Our apologies for all the confusion and appreciate your understanding and positive thoughts.

A “Heads-up” in regards to our Annual Report submission

For any Committee Chairperson/s going away over the winter months, please submit your annual report from your committee before going away, so that I can submit a completed report for our Annual General Meeting and complete the report to our United Church General Council. Thank-you, Sue Zilke Ward

THE HEALING MINISTRY IS BACK!!!

Dear Friends,

The healing Ministry is being organized to resume on Wednesday, November 3rd and will be open every Wednesday for 6 weeks. We just have two practitioners at the moment, Beth Halliday and myself, and we will need to take extra time between clients to disinfect our tables, etc. Therefore, we have spots for only 6 clients each week. We will book appointments for you to attend every other Wednesday. That way, we can accommodate more people in a 2-week period.

We are only able to accept registration for those who have been fully vaccinated and we will need to see proof of that at your first appointment. This is for our safety and for that of the clients.

Please call Carol Wells-Gordon at 705-731-0455 to book an appointment. Beth and I are very excited to be able to offer Reiki once again. We look forward to seeing you soon.
