Prayer Request and Pastoral Care

Bill Dodwell

Bill passed away on Sunday, October 29th at Ross Memorial Hospital. Let us keep the Dodwell family and friends in our prayers as go through this difficult time of loss. There will be a private family graveside service.


Jack Lapp, Shirley Lapp’s husband, passed away on Friday, November 17th at Southlake Residential Care Village in Newmarket. His service will be held in Mt. Albert at the cemetery there on Tuesday, November 28th at 11:00am, with a reception afterwards at his daughter Diane Bruyns' home. For details, please call Carol Wells-Gordon at 705-731-0455. Let us keep the Lapp family in our prayers as they go through this time of loss.

goes out to Mary Tomlinson for finding and purchasing the fabric and also sewing more Comfort Pockets. The creation of these pockets was offered as a gift by Mary Fedy, so we are grateful that Mary Tomlinson has continued this good work. Thank you very much Mary.


2024 Offering/Giving Envelopes

If you have offering envelopes, you may pick your 2024 envelopes up in the church Narthex. If you wish get offering envelopes or wish to go on PAR, please let Cathy Bennett know. Thank-you for your financial support.

Trinity’s Christmas Schedule

Hand Drumming

Ukulele Practice

The next Ukulele Practice will be held on Monday, November 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. Happy practicing until then!


Come Out One and All!

Calling all those who love to sing or are musicians, to attend Choir practice on Wed., November 29th at 2:00 p.m. If you play a musical instrument and would like to participate during Sunday’s Worship Service, please speak with Debra Northey.


The Travelling Library …

books about Truth and Reconciliation which are located in the Fellowship Room must be return TODAY, Sunday, November 26.

Are you a Knitter or Crocheter?

We need people to knit or crochet mitten, scarves, hats for our Mitten Tree. The items are distributed to our community here in Bobcagyeon and Lindsay to places like our public schools, Curve Lake, Boys & Girls Club, Ross Memorial Hospital, A Place Called Home etc. before Christmas. Please bring your knitting in by Friday, December 1st.


The newsletters will be ready for distribution on Dec 1. Sadly, we have lost a few of our deliverers. If you can volunteer to deliver 5-10 newsletters to a specific area two times a year, please call (705-738-9633) or email me.

News from the Knitting Group

The Knitting Group meet every second Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 2:00 o'clock at the home of Karin Kinsman. We knit Prayer Shawls adults and children who need comfort, peace, and love as they go through personal loss, sickness, and grief. For further information about the Knitting Group, please contact Gail Lewis at 705-738-1279 or the church office for Karin’s address if you wish to join them.


The next meeting of the SIM House Church is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th at the home of Carol Wells-Gordon, 17 Lakewood Cres. Suite 46. Everyone is welcome to join this group for coffee, conversation and discussion. If you have not attended, please come and give it a try. Call Carol at 705-731-0455 to confirm your attendance. Providence UCW Christmas Lunch

The Providence UCW Christmas lunch is taking place at the Wheatsheaf in Bobcaygeon on Wednesday, December 6th at 12 noon.

A PLACE CALLED HOME

The UCW are collecting items for “A Place Called Home”. The items they are looking for are toiletries, dinner plates, cereal bowls and forks. If you can help in this way, please let Lillian Partridge know or bring them into the church office after our Christmas Bazaar.

Did you know …

that both nursing homes (Case Manor & Pinecrest) are much more accessible these days! You no longer need to set-up appointments. I’m sure the residence would enjoy a visit! Since it is flue season, please call first to make sure they are not on lockdown.

Council Members – Annual Report

If you are going away for the winter, please remember to send in your Annual Report for 2023 by January 20th.

‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program

in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.


@ Cambridge St. United Church in Lindsay

Phase 1 Training Course - Thursday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., both days. Healing Pathway has been an active ministry at Cambridge Street United Church since 2022. We invite anyone who has an interest in learning the basic concepts of hands-on healing within the Christian tradition to take the Phase 1 Training and become part of our team of practitioners, or start up a ministry at their community of faith.
